First thing in the morning, I had to do a lot of running around, but I got some CV joint grease to allow me to do the drive shafts that I picked up from powder coating. Unfortunately, all of my camera's batteries were dead, so I couldn't take any pictures until they'd been charged. But that didn't stop me working until they were!
This is after I'd fitted all the joints:
And I then put some cable ties on the boots, and fitted them to the car.
And the batteries then died (I discovered I'd only charged two of them!)
So, in the meantime, I put some GRP on the inside of the rear body corner to stiffen it up:
And fitted the exhaust again (which I'd picked up from the welder a while back):
I then remembered I wanted to take a picture of the other drive shaft:
One final thing I did for the day was to file out the join between the two rear bits, because the filler was cracking (Mike's is also doing this as well). The way to do this is to use GRP instead of body filler - I'll do a reasonably small bit first; if it's not enough, I'll do it some more.
As I was putting the car away, I had Keith Kilvert, another Aeon builder, turn up to have a look and a natter - which was nice.
