I'm guessing this is going to be in several parts!
When I picked up the engine, there was a large box of bits that accompanied it. I'm not an expert on engines; I know there are water, fuel, oil and air pipes kicking around, but I find identifying which is which difficult.
This is what the engine looked like at the start of the evening.
And this is what was in the box of bits.
The first identifiable items were the turbo air pipes.
And then the water pump (there's one pipe and one rubber mounting missing already!).
The wiring loom was next (this will probably be replaced).
That was pretty much it for the parts I could identify.
I found out that this part is an "Evaporative emission charcoal chamber". I think it takes an air feed of some sort.
I don't know what this is, but on a Skoda forum site, it goes under the engine cover.
I'm not sure where this odd shaped pipe lives.
I then fitted the new engine cover I got today.
And these are now the left over bits.
I've ordered a Bentley manual that should hopefully tell me much more. If that fails, I'll have another look at the demonstrator later on.
